We invite you to join us for our next “Breakfast Around the Board Table” forum with our special guest, Arizona State Land Department Commissioner, Maria Baier. Maria is responsible for managing millions of acres of land across the state, much of which is leased for grazing purposes, while other parcels are sold for development or conservation. Proceeds from land sales and leases primarily benefit K-12 education.
Prior to beginning her tenure as Commissioner in 2009, Maria served as a Phoenix City Councilwoman. There, she chaired the Economy, Commerce and sustainability Subcommittee and was a member of the Downtown and Aviation Subcommittee, Housing and Neighborhoods Subcommittee, Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee, the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Executive Committee, and the Maricopa Association of Governments Transportation Policy Committee.
This will be a conversation setting around the table, where we can discuss topics openly. Come join your fellow REIAC members in discussing your experiences with the Arizona State Land Department and learn of their current and future plans are for our State Land.
Space is limited and will be awarded on a "first come, first served" basis. The last two Breakfast Forums sold very quickly, so please RSVP today.
